Do you want to be a part of the Intentional Living community in 2012? If you are interested then contact us now! Intentional Living is an environment that helps you transform your current lifestyle to one that is focused on missional output, outreach and to a life of service and sacrifice. We have two houses, one in Sunnyside and one in Bailey's-Muckleneuk, where we live together guided by certain rhythms and codes to help us establish this kind of lifestyle and to make the community function well. This community is aimed at bringing relief and new life in various contexts of need, through simple and intentional living.
Our House Code describes the nature and detail of the commitment required from you. It is a 16-point guideline that organizes life in the respective houses and helps us all to be on mission together and to have the same goal in mind. This includes the ways we serve each other and our greater community.
We would love to speak to you personally to answer all your questions and clear up uncertainties, so please do contact us for an appointment. We'll also send you the above mentioned House Code to look over. ABOUT INTENTIONAL LIVING

We believe that all people are loved by God. We also believe that Jesus asks us to love Him, and to love others.
Living in Pretoria, South-Africa, we find people in need literally on every other street corner, and we started asking ourselves to what an extent interaction with these people would make a difference in their and our own lives. Is it possible to bring them hope? Would loving them make a big difference? Is this kind of love the love that we are called for as followers of Jesus?
We believe so, and we have found that this kind of love, upliftment and help asks an intentional lifestyle from us: A lifestyle closer to people in need, and in solidarity with people in need in certain areas of everyday life. We live intentionally, and try to love and help in every situation we encounter.

We realized in only the first six months of our project that life in such a context with such a mission will always be changing. Therefore we have agreed that our whole lives must be an expression of intentional living.
We also believe that our beliefs must somehow be reflected in what we do together in the house.
OUR FRIENDS

We met Morne and Rose randomly on the street and later again met up with them when we were looking for Judy in Sunnyside. At the time Rose was 8 months pregnant (Blane). We had no more room left at our house, but we decided that we had to accommodate them somehow, so we arranged that they stay in our garage. It was not much, but at least it was dry, warm and safe.
WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that humanity is created for community. God is a community, a Trinity, a plurality of oneness. And we are created in that image. Jesus modelled this community with His disciples, as He lived and as He sent them out and taught them to live. We believe that in this type of community, reconciliation happens. God is establishing a new community, a new Kingdom.
